Tapas

1) It is 85 degrees here today, and sunny.

2) This morning, we went to the North Market to buy meat and listen to the Gipson & Fitz trio. Eva nearly stopped the show with her dancing. She's a superstar, especially since she figured out how to stand up into a walk by herself yesterday.

3) I am now the mother of a toddler!

4)Now she's napping. I'm in the office blogging and drinking tea, and Jason is filling out grad school apps. I can hear Art Blakey coming from the living room.

5)In the spirit of "blooming where I am planted," I rearranged the entire downstairs last week, and made a play area for Eva. Pictures coming soon!

6) That means that the computer is now sharing space in the guest room,

7) which is teensy-tiny, but has two walls of windows, sleeping-porch style.

8) I'm sitting next to one wall of windows right now,

9) and I can unequivocally say that I'm not afraid of living bugs, but dead ones on the windowsill disgust me.

10) Up next: a trip to the playground. Dinner will be steak salad and vino on a blanket in the yard.
