Leaves!

Photobucket

Or, turning over new ones.

It's possible that my blog is suffering from a bit of an identity crisis.

When I started on Blogger, I viewed it as a "step up" from blogging on my MySpace, and decided that each and every post would be polished, letter-perfect, and essay quality. This worked well for a while, but lately the pressure I'm putting on myself to put up essay-quality posts is leading to a lack of updating and a lack of blogging enthusiasm in general. Since I'm not trying to write professionally right now- though I'd still like to in the future--I'm going to ease things up a bit.

Perhaps this "redefining," if you will, will help me to feel more inspired to show this blog the attention it deserves. There are a lot of little things that have fallen by the wayside because I haven't had the time to get out of the house (believe me, Virginia Woolf, I hear you now on the "Room of One's Own" thing) and craft a well-written post about them. Perhaps a few casual musings are in order.

Ad so, I'm going to fly-by-night for a while. Trip the light fantastic and just see what comes out, even if it's about the joy of fingerfoods.

In the spirit of this easing up, I'm going to now clamp right back down and set a challenge for myself-- a post at least every other day for a month.

With luck, however, I'll be a tad more disciplined. That would be an excellent quality to cultivate right about now, since I signed up for an "Adventure Fitness Boot Camp" that will be meeting three mornings a week from 5:30-6:30 am in the morning!!!! HOO-AH!!!

That's right, folks. So stay tuned for more about that, and for other musings. I doubt I'll be buff enough for any a$$-kicking, but I bet I'll be able to knock the shit out of your elbow.

I'll join you in trying to post every other day. Now I just wish I could take adventure fitness bootcamp with you at 5:30 in the morning. Try to ignore the gym class flashbacks.

Every other day! Wow, that's ambitious! I look forward to reading--your blog updates always make me smile.
