Finally!

The power came back on yesterday afternoon, while I was at work. Mr. Milkweed called me to tell me the news (but only after he'd gorged on a half an hour of Internet. Completely understandable).

The lights are back on, but I'm feeling rather dim. Just kind of run down and stressed out and really, really tired. I went to bed at 8:00 last night-- even with this whole early morning boot camp thing, that was early. To top it all off, I have a cold sore that's about the size of my head (not really, obviously, but it seems that big). Last week was just really, really stressful, and now I'm paying the price.

To top it all off, I'll be 30 in a week. I'd love to be feeling fresh, fun, and vital right now-- having a carefree send-off to my twenties, Wheee!-- but really, I'm feeling rather depleted.

Perhaps Sarah Palin will say or do something stupid enough to enrage me. Everybody likes a good rant.

If only you shared Sarah Palin's small-town values, you'd be energized and filled with joy. It's your big-city elitism that's keeping you down.

I'm so glad you finally have power. I think the storm didn't deposit pathogens so much as disturb our family's rhythm to such an extent that we all were worn down and then became sick. It sounds like your routines were sufficiently disturbed so as to produce exhaustion if nothing else.
