The Fury of Mother Nature

It seems fitting that today, on Charles Darwin's birthday, we have an example (even if somewhat unorthodox) of the survival of the fittest.

Some might say that the tree beat our house.

But I'm thinking that our house beat the tree.

After all, which one is still standing?

Wow. I couldn't picture how the tree could be threatening your porch and yet over your bedroom. You didn't tell me the tree was lying on top of the whole length of your house! Amazing.

That is insane!

I have to say that your rhetorical question is kind of profound. I don't know if you meant it that way, but it got me thinking anyway.

Woahhhh.

OK this post has made me realize that I need to get on the phone with the tree people and have them come out and take a few of our trees down before the next big Nor'Easter hits.

So glad you're all OK (relatively speaking) and that your house showed that tree who was tougher!
