1. What did you do in 2010 that you’d never done before?
Bought a house!

2. Did you keep your New Year’s resolutions, and will you make more for next year? Did I even do that last year? I don't remember. This year, I'm going to just chillax. In every arena.

3. Did anyone close to you give birth? Yes, in fact. I did! Silas Bonham Milkweed joined us on July 26th. My friends C & R also had a beautiful baby boy in November.

4. Did anyone close to you die? No, thankfully.

5. What places did you visit? We left the state of Virginia exactly once, and that was for an amazing trip to Pittsburgh to help throw a baby shower for C & R. Mr. Milkweed's parents watched Eva, and we took newborn Silas, and it was so very relaxing!

6. What would you like to have in 2011 that you lacked in 2010? A second bathroom?

7. What dates from 2010 will remain etched upon your memory, and why? July 26th, because Silas was born.

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year? Not to flog a dead horse or anything, but Silas.

9. What was your biggest failure? Hmmm. I broke the portable hard drive with the vacuum.

10. Did you suffer illness or injury? Little bit of morning sickness, little bit of mastitis. I'm such a girl.

11. What was the best thing you bought? I found some really good damson plum preserves at the Farmer's Market.

12. Whose behavior merited celebration? Honestly? Eva's. There have been some trying times, but she's been through a lot this year with the new house and the new baby brother. I'm proud of her.

13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed? The Wonder Pets.

14. Where did most of your money go? Rendering unto Caesar. Although, for the record, I'm a Democrat. Tax me!

15. What did you get really, really, really excited about? Being a family of four.

16. What song will always remind you of 2010? Head Full of Doubt by The Avett Brothers

17. Compared to this time last year, are you:

a) happier or sadder? Happier. I was stuck in the first trimester this time last year.

b) thinner or fatter? Thinner, thanks to this whackaloon elimination diet

c) richer or poorer? The same.

18. What do you wish you’d done more of? Had more teaparties with my girl when we were still a family of three.

19. What do you wish you’d done less of? Messing around on the computer. There's gonna be some changes made.

20. How did you spend Christmas in 2010? Around the tree in our very first house.

21. Did you fall in love in 2010? He's got brown eyes and looks like his Daddy. :)

22. What was your favorite TV program? Income Property on HGTV. That is a very handsome Canadian man.

23. What did you do for your birthday in 2010? Went out for Ethiopian!

24. What was the best book you read? SUCH a hard question. I can't choose.

25. What did you want and get? Superficially, a pair of non-mom jeans.

26. What did you want and not get? I can't think of a single thing.

27. What was your favorite film of this year? Winter's Bone.

28. Did you make some new friends this year? I did indeed.

29.What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying? About 8,000 hours more sleep

30. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2010? Maternity meets postpartum meets the laundry. If nothing else, my clothes were all clean.

31. What kept you sane? Podcasts. God bless you, Stuff You Should Know.

32. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most? Who did I "fancy?"

33. What political issue stirred you the most? Pretty excited about the repeal of Don't Ask, Don't Tell.

34. Who did you miss? Grace.
