Eva-isms

I haven't been the best about recording the cute things Eva says and does. This blog serves as an occasional record, there are notes here and there in my journal, and then there's the exhaustive record of her food intake I did when I was obsessed with making all her baby food myself and would only feed her organic fruits and vegetables. (We do strive to eat healthily around here, but oh, how the mighty have fallen...)That's about it, though.

Still, lately the stars have aligned and she's been repeating the same adorable things for a while now, so here's a record of some Eva-isms right as she's about to turn two and a half.

--"I know what! I love you!" (NEVER just "I love you." So very cute.)

--"What I DID?!?!" (After she puts a toy in her shirt, or one of her bears on her head, etc. Often followed by giggles.)

--"Heeeere cha go!" (Here you go!)

--"Why don't you pick me up and see what happens?" or "Why don't you hold my hand and see what happens?" (Or really, "Why don't you [do almost anything] and see what happens?")

--She likes to wield The Force to get her way, as in "You want to give me a cookie!" or "You want to come have a tea party!" or "You want to hug my bear!" etc.

--If there are a series of pictures in a magazine, or puzzle pieces in a row, or different types of flowers outside, she always says "I like this one and Mommy likes this one and Daddy likes this one!" If there are more than three, then cousins and grandparents get involved. Her cousin W. likes an awful lot of things I bet he never even knew he liked.

--She asks for family hugs, in which Mr. Milkweed and I hug each other while we smush her in between us. She has even, a couple of times, said in its entirety "The baby in Mommy's tummy is part of the family, too," as if she's been scripted by the folks at Lifetime TV. As far as I know, she hasn't, though I suspect a grandparent.

Just a few things for posterity. I do love my little girl.
