Silas is an extremely content little fellow. He loves nothing in the world like his sister-- every time she even so much as makes eye contact with him, he gives a belly laugh and waves his arms for more.
He adores his Daddy, who likes to sing him to sleep with Rush's "Closer to the Heart." Consequently, the rare times he fusses, that song soothes him immediately. He's also partial to "Moonshadow" by Cat Stevens, which I often sing to him while he nurses.
He prefers babbling and singing to moving around very much, but just today he rolled from front to back twice in a row. We're giving him lots of tummy time and "sitting practice" to strengthen his muscles.
He has an enormous, open-mouthed grin that lights up his entire face. He doles it out liberally to both family members and strangers, and people at church line up to kiss his head and catch his smiles.
Basically, he's delightful, and I can't believe he's going to be seven months old on Saturday!
