...well, the beach, really. Just dropping in to assure you I'm not dead-- far from it, really, as having Mr. Milkweed's entire family here pretty much guarantees that if I want access to Eva, I have to ask for her. There has been much maxin' and relaxin', even if I am going through blog withdrawal. I'll have a lot of reading to catch up on when I get back (unless everyone's been as lax about it as me lately).
I'm perched on the hood of our minivan pirating the signal from the house next door (which is named "BEACH MUSIC!!!111!!ELEVENTY!!!"-- why do all the houses here have such gag-worthy names? We're in "Donald's Duck House." I mean, really now), so I need to be swift, but when I get back I'll tell you all about the INSANE changes at my parents' house. I'm happy to report they're for the better.
Later, gators. I'm off to chase ghost crabs.

Ooh, the ocean. And lots of hands to help with Eva. I can't wait to hear more about it when you return.
Have fun! Sounds like a blast. And I've been blogless lately, too, due to technical difficulties. But now that we finally have our Internet back, I'll have to update. Eventually.
the beach! i'm jealous. :)
When you get back, the tea service on top of the piano may still look "so caked with dust that it was GRAY," or whatever you said about it. That would be because silver (especially silver plate) gets a gray coating called *tarnish* when it is exposed to the air. Honestly, there isn't actually that much dust on that particular--plated--tea service.
Yes, removing the tarnish would be a wise idea if someone were to get a NONtoxic product like Wright's Silver Cream (made from faux diatomaceous earth) to use on it. I told Mama to get rid of the Tarn-X that someone had given her, though, because that substance contains carcinogens and may cause birth defects. I wouldn't touch it with an "eleventy-thousand foot pole," as maybe she sometimes puts it.
So what I'm saying is, the tea service may still look gray. ;) I hope you're prepared for that. ;) I'm just not sure that Tarn-X is safe, so I asked that Mama ditch it--and I don't know if they sell Wright's at WalMart.
