And I did-- sort of. I've actually been blogging on my MySpace page since November 2006, but I've always intended to bring it out from behind the screen of the "Social Networking Site" (read: teeny-bopper space on the Web where my 29-year-old-self really has no business being). And now, I have! It's kind of thrilling, really. These last three posts were written to sort of prime the soil of my new blog. I'm proud to plant them here now, today.
So, let me tell you a little about myself! I'm 29, have been married for almost five years, and am the mother of Eva Daisy, who is six months old. I work part-time as a Children's Librarian and am a stay-at-home mother the rest of the week. I enjoy 70% dark chocolate, I love to read and write, and would love to publish in the future. For now, I'll be focusing my efforts on this blog, but I have a kick-ass short story for young adults that's just waiting for me to find a way to get its heroine down from out of a tree in the Choctawhatchee River Basin. I like to think she has vast inner resources, and doesn't mind me leaving her up there (pursued by an alligator, no less) for the better part of a year, while I did this whole having-a-baby thing.
Thanks for stopping by here. I hope to provide you with minutes or even quarter-hours of pleasure as you surf, hitting up your favorite places and while you put off moving the pureed baby food you just made out of the food mill and into ice cube trays. Or, you know, whatever.
Enjoy your time here-- I know I will. And if anybody has a killer idea for outsmarting large toothy reptiles, by all means, bring the noise!
